A Fresno Police Department sergeant has been arrested and charged with attempting lewd acts on a child, according to the Roseville Police Department.Roseville police said the department reached out to Fresno police Wednesday to let them know a felony warrant had been issued for the arrest of 56-year-old Paige McQuay.

Paige McQuay was arrested on suspicion of attempting to contact a minor to commit an unlawful offense and attempting lewd acts with a minor, according to Roseville police.

Sgt. Paige McQuay, 56, was placed in custody in Fresno after Roseville Police Department said he was the subject of a sex crimes investigation, according to a news release. He was accused of attempted lewd acts with a minor and contacting a minor in an attempt to commit an offense, police said in a news release.
