Formula One champion Max Verstappen said Christian Horner's sacking as Red Bull boss would make no difference to decisions about his own future and the team still felt like a second family.

In the short term, Verstappen must focus his attention on the World Championship fight with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. The 27-year-old is 69 points behind the series leader and may be forced to kiss his title defence hopes goodbye at the summer break if Red Bull can’t take an immediate step forward under new boss Laurent Mekies.
