Zelenskyy reiterated Ukraine would not withdraw from territories it controls because it would only serve as a springboard for a future Russian invasion.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukraine will neither withdraw from Donetsk nor any other region of the country calling the move 'unconstitutional'. The Ukrainian President also claimed that Vladimir Putin presented his demand during a meeting with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

The Russian advance threatens the last two urban areas in the region that Ukraine still controls. The push on the front lines has come at the worst possible time for Kyiv, just three days before the Trump-Putin summit.
