Actor Delhi Ganesh, known for acing both comic and serious roles, passed away at his Chennai residence due to age-related ailments

Veteran Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh, known for his versatile roles in over 400 films, passed away on Sunday. He was renowned for his ability to inhabit characters with authenticity, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.

On Saturday night, popular Tamil actor Ganesan, fondly known as Delhi Ganesh, passed away at the age of 80. The actor’s son shared this news on social media leaving the entire Tamil film industry in grief.

The last rites of veteran actor Delhi Ganesh took place on Monday morning in Chennai. His mortal remains were cremated with Air Force honours.

Ganesh's contributions to Tamil cinema were widely acknowledged. He won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize for his performance in Pasi (1979), and in 1994, he was honoured with the Kalaimamani award by then-Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa in recognition of his excellence in the arts.
