WASHINGTON — Christian Jones scored 23 points in George Washington’s 82-62 victory against Dayton on Saturday.

The Dayton Flyers trailed George Washington by as many as 17 points in the first half and faced a 43-27 halftime deficit Saturday at the Charles E. Smith Center.

Dayton mounted a comeback for a time after falling into an early deficit, but George Washington put its foot on the gas to close with a 20-point win.

Little about the Charles E. Smith Center suggests that it should be such a troublesome venue for the Dayton Flyers.
