Throughout the offseason, Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas has heard his name floated in numerous reports and rumors, including recent talks between Boston and the Seattle Mariners involving starting pitcher Luis Castillo. Breslow, speaking with the media, attempted to make it clear to Casas that they've wanted him around.

Though the Red Sox have reached out, chief baseball officer Craig Breslow confirmed the club has not yet been granted a meeting with the top remaining free agent pitcher on the market.
