Sean McVay said Cooper Kupp may still go on IR, but there’s a chance he could return before having to miss four games

Rams star receiver Cooper Kupp is wearing a cast on his ankle but so far the injury doesn't appear severe enough for him to be placed on injured reserve.

The Rams are not placing wide receiver Cooper Kupp on injured reserve "as of right now," but coach Sean McVay said Wednesday they haven't ruled it out.

The Los Angeles Rams have elected not to put receiver Cooper Kupp on injured reserve with the hopes he could still recover from his ankle injury in a shorter time frame.

Kupp injured his ankle during the Rams' 41–10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and had to be helped to the locker room. This is the fourth time since the 2022 season that Kupp has dealt with an ankle injury.
