The headliner for the RBC Canadian Open field will not be playing on the weekend, as Rory McIlroy's week went from bad to worse on Friday, as he followed up his 71 on Thursday with a 78 in the second round to miss the cut by 12 shots .

The third round of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open gets underway Saturday from TPC Toronto with players looking to make a mark on the leaderboard and position themselves in contention Sunday.

The PGA Tour's RBC Canadian Open is underway, and the second round starts Friday, after much of the field posted excellent scores during their opening rounds.

McIlroy, who won the 2019 and 2022 RBC Canadian Opens, did not have it this week. After opening with a 71, he shot 78 on Friday, his card showing a quad 8 on the par-4 fifth hole. He managed to only beat four guys this week.
