The Trump administration has reached a multimillion-dollar agreement with Brown University to restore federal funding – its second major deal with an elite university after last week’s $221 million settlement with Columbia University.

Brown University recovered its access to more than $50 million in federal grant funding for health and life science research frozen since April by signing a deal with the federal government Wednesday.

Brown agreed to adopt President Trump's definitions of "male" and "female" as part of a sweeping agreement that restores millions of scientific research dollars to the university.
