The chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products talks to THR about the impact the Anaheim park had on immersive entertainment on its 70th anniversary, and what the next evolution may be.

Traveling from Main Street, U.S.A., Mickey Mouse helped open the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Thursday. Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Iger officially rang the bell to start the markets in honor of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.

In the early morning hours of July 17, 2025, a ceremony honoring the park’s 70th anniversary was held at Disneyland wth Cast Members in attendance. Disney CEO Bob Iger made an appearance, along with Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro. The pair took a moment to take a selfie on Main Street with Cast Members before the ceremony began.
