The City of Beloit Police Department is looking into what led to a shooting that killed one person and injured another. Investigators say officers responded to the 1200 block of Oak Street for reports of shots fired.

BELOIT, Wis. (WKOW) — The Beloit Police Department continues to investigate a shooting that left one man dead and a woman hurt. It happened Thursday in the 1200 Block of Oak Street. Police got to the scene at 7:38 p.m. where they found two victims who were shot.

A man is dead and a woman is injured in a shooting incident that occurred Thursday in the 1200 block of Oak Street, according to a news release

Police sent to the shooting in the 1200 block of Oak Street at 7:38 p.m. Thursday found the two people who had been shot, Beloit police said.

Authorities are responding to a report of two people shot Thursday night, Rock County Communication Center confirmed.

Beloit police are investigating a homicide and a shooting that happened tonight around 7:30 in the 1200 block of Oak Street.
