The Savannah Bananas will bring Banana Ball to Charlotte during their 2025 World Tour. Why it matters: It's the first time baseball will be played at Bank of America Stadium, which is one of two NFL stadiums to host the wacky dancing baseball team.

There are three football stadiums on the Bananas’ 2025 tour; the team has never played in a venue larger than a Major League Baseball stadium. Aside from BofA Stadium, the Bananas will visit the Tennessee Titans' NFL stadium in Nashville and Clemson University in South Carolina.

Live Nation and Tepper Sports Entertainment — along with Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles — announced the performers at a news conference at Bank of America Stadium.

Ready for some totally bananas news? The Savannah Bananas are coming to Charlotte in 2025. In an announcement Thursday evening, the team announced Banana Ball would be coming to the Queen City as part of its 2025 World Tour on June 7.

Billy Joel has played The Bank before, he was last in the Queen City in April 2022 and played for the stadium crowd. It’s been a bit longer since Sting last performed in Charlotte - his last show in town was in September 2004 at the PNC Music Pavilion (then known as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre).

Charlotte will get its fair share of “Banana Ball” next summer. The Savannah Bananas, the professional baseball team that famously bakes in outrageous dancing and other hijinks into their on-field performances, have announced that they are coming to Bank of America Stadium on June 7, 2025.
