The Air India flight fell from the sky on Thursday and killed at least 270 people in Gujarat state, officials said Saturday.

Air India CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson, in a video message, announced that the airline will provide an interim compensation of Rs 25 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent crash,

This would be in addition to the Rs 1 crore compensation (approximately GBP 85,000) support to the families of each person already announced by Tata Sons

An early focus of the probe includes a possible loss or reduction of thrust.
