The news that Oscar-winning screenwriter of The Social Network, Aaron Sorkin, is developing a sequel for himself to direct went off like a bombshell in the entertainment world that almost certainly sent hundreds of agents around Hollywood hurdling toward their phones, frantic to get their clients aboard.

Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White are circling the lead roles for Aaron Sorkin’s sequel to the 2010 Oscar winner “ The Social Network ,” according to sources with knowledge of the project.

Academy Award nominee Jeremy Strong is being eyed to star as Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg in Aaron Sorkin's "The Social Network Part II," a follow-up to his Academy Award-winning and box office hit film "The Social Network" at Sony Pictures.
