Tyla rocked a vintage Roberto Cavalli gown to the 2024 MTV EMAs, which referenced looks previously worn by Aaliyah and Eve in 2000.

Tyla wore a blue version of the Roberto Cavalli dress that Aaliyah wore to the 2000 MTV VMAs. The 'Water' singer donned the look to attend the 2024 MTV EMAs on Nov. 10.

Tyla was conferred with sophistication and glamour at birth and has, therefore, never sought out the British delicacy that is sausage, cheese, and bean melt. “There’s a lot of sausages here,” the pop star said at last night's 2024 MTV EMAs.

On Sunday evening, Tyla attended the MTV Europe Music Awards (the network’s European answer to the VMAs) in a Cavalli design that originated on the fall 2000 runway. That same year, Aaliyah turned up to the VMAs in a neon yellow iteration.

Much like Maya Jama, who stunned on the EMAs red carpet in a vintage Versace ensemble, Tyla turned to the archives and rocked a vintage Robert Cavalli dress in turquoise zebra print, which featured a huuuuge side split that was trimmed with fur.
