McDonald's is extending its $5 deal so you can enjoy a full meal for just a few bucks. According to CNBC, franchise owners voted to extend the $5 Value Meal in about 80% of local markets. The deal will now stay in place into December.

McDonald's extended its $5 value meal offer into December at most of its U.S. locations, the burger chain said. The company launched its $5 meal deal late in June and extended it into August in a bid to retain budget-conscious customers shying away from higher fast food prices.

The $5 Meal Deal, initially introduced in June, was meant to serve as an enticing budget option to lure customers back into the fast food chain's stores. But now, luckily for Big Mac lovers, it has been extended until at least the end of the year (Dec. 2024), according to CNBC.

Originally billed as a limited-time response to provide relief to inflation-strapped consumers, the promotion has gained traction with customers demanding value from fast-food brands.
