WEBDec 28, 2016 · I can't imagine feeding a 16 week old 4 1/2 c a day- that'd have to be a very low nutritional value food. Typically the bag gives feeding suggestions which are high- I feed lifes abundance all life stages to my puppies and usually just watch what they eat- if they clean their bowl, the next day that feeding I offer a little more.

WEBAug 13, 2020 · I noticed Purina Pro Plan packing has different feeding guides online vs on the packing itself... My golden is 10 months, 60 lbs. We are feeding her the Purina pro plan puppy for large breeds. On the actual package it says feed between 4.5-5.75 cups (maturity up to 100 Lbs for 9-11 months). But online (Purina site) it says between 8 - 9.67 cups!

I've already got almost all the supplies I need (thanks in part to researching and reading posts on this forum!). However, one question I have is the food bowls. I read that a puppy has 1/2 cup 3x daily up until 5 months or so, then later it's more like 1 cup 2x daily.

The growth rate will slow down a bit and he will go through an occasional spurt but if you keep a close eye on his body condition, weigh him once or twice a week, it should be easy to manage.
