The printer can handle up to 280 gsm photo paper - but it is generally not possible to trick the printer into printing on card paper after having told it (necessarily) that the paper in the tray is photo paper.

Just last month I replace my old 8710 with a new 8710 and now I can't print business cards. I don't know the paper weight but they are Avery 28878 business card stock (same as I have been using for past 2-years).
